Shaman’s Death

What do you need to let go of?…

The Sacred Path Card that was pulled for this week’s Wednesday Wisdom is the “Shaman’s Death” card.  No one likes to hear the word, “death,” but it is rare that it is suggesting the end of existence on the physical plane. Most often, it refers to the end of a cycle. So the fact that this card was chosen, we need to look at what is ending so that the rebirth can occur.

are healers who have confronted and conquered their own shadows and walked through their own personal “hell.”  By going through various “Shaman’s Deaths,” they develop compassion due to the firsthand knowledge of the pain involved to breakthrough the darkness.  Often trauma occurs early in their lives, opening the matrix which allows for communication between Self and the Spirit realm. Today, there are intense shamanic training programs for people who feel ‘called’ to be shamans, as well as modern dayshamans who are “Spirit led” and natural healers due to confronting and conquering their own ‘Shaman’s Deaths.’

This card suggests that we look at what we need to conquer  and let go of at this time, allowing us to give birth to a new identity.  Be gentle and loving with yourself as you look within to find the shadow inside the Self that prohibits you from being your authentic self.  Ask yourself “why” you do what you do, think what you think, and feel what you feel.  Examine your habits, relationships, attitudes and parts of Self that might need to be removed so you can live your life in a more honest and productive way.  This will lead to further growth when you allow the “old” to be replaced with the “new” in a dignified fashion.

Many blessings as we celebrate your rebirth,
